Sherry @ LoveToReadNovels gave it 5 Tickets!
I knew when I saw the totally awesome cover of Renegade Hearts that I absolutely had to find out the tale within. I was immediately drawn in by the gentle prose of this story. It truly matched the cover with an easy ebb and flow that I just loved! Though it was not an edge-of-your-seat type story I found myself glued to the pages because I became so involved with its true-to-life well-drawn characters. You will fall in love with each one them. Gil was an excellent leading man. I just loved the way he was with Jenny and Zach. (Big sigh!) Jenny is someone to admire. She was strong and independent but reasonable and tender. Zach will steal your heart hands down! He is such a great little man! And Buddy, Gil's Dad, was a total gem! Now don't get me wrong, this did have a mystery to it and as typical with Anne Patrick's stories, you don't find out the whole truth until the end. She always keeps you guessing. I just LOVED Renegade Hearts! It's an easy, feel-good, up-lifting tale you won't want to miss. A thank you goes to the author for providing this complimentary copy for my review.
Babs Book Bristo gave it 5 stars!
I loved the characters and the setting. A little bit of a western touch to the romance. The hurdles Jenny has to go through was enlightening. The twists in the book make for a great suspense. The book has a little bit of everything to entice the reader. Another great book I would recommend. Click on Babs link to read the whole review.
Samantha @ Amazon.com gave it 5 stars!
I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet romance! The inspirational thread wasn't overbearing, the characters truly endearing. I especially loved Zach. What a kid! Jenny lost her husband a couple of years ago and is still nursing a broken heart. Along comes Gil who is recovering from a war injury that ended a career he loved. In Jenny and Zach he sees a possible new lease on life, but will he be able to win over Jenny with his charm and devotion to her son? You'll have to by the book to find out. I highly recommend it!

Fire and Ash receives Best Book ratings from LASR!
Fennel at Long and Short Reviews gave Fire and Ash its highest rating. Here’s a snippet - "This is a beautiful, yet hard-hitting story, fluently written, presenting characters you fall in love with, and ensures you’ll keep it on your shelf permanently and re-read often, which is why I have given it a Best Book rating." Read the whole review here: http://longandshortreviews.blogspot.com/2010/10/fire-and-ash-by-anne-patrick.html
Thank you for the awesome review, Fennel!

Thank you for the awesome review, Fennel!
For those of you who have been curious about my progress on A Familiar Evil, I finally finished the first draft. Whew! And it’s going to be a doosy. A funny note – I had to change my heroine’s name three times *grinning*. The reason being I’d already used the name Kate, well Katie, in Sabotage. So I changed it to Morgan...then I realized I’d used that name in Journey to Redemption. The heroine’s name is now Jordan. And yes, I’ve checked, I haven’t used it before. Tip to future writers out there, always keep track of your character’s names. I now have a chart with all the ones I’ve used.
All my edits on coming releases are finished too. Yaay! Now I can get started on the second book in my ‘Wounded Heroes Series’. I’m really excited about this series. Most of the books take place on a fictional island off the coast of Maine called Dauphine Island. No, I’m not joining the paranormal frenzy *grin*. You won’t find any vampires or wolves. All of my characters are human. Each book will be a stand-alone with previous characters making cameo appearances. For instance, Hope & Nick from my Christmas short story (coming in Dec) will be in the series. Each story is about a wounded hero. For instance Deadly Foe is the story about a former army medic struggling with PTSD who has someone trying to kill her. Not all are military heroes, though, some are in law enforcement or other emergency services.
Well, that’s all the news I have so I’m going to get off here and get back to work. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.
Happy reading!
Anne

New Review for Lethal Dreams!
I just wanted to pass on my thrilling news. Long and Short Reviews gave my latest release, Lethal Dreams, a 4 1/2 out of 5 books today. Here’s a snippet:
One of the final twists in the plot creates a heart-warming and totally unexpected ending that ensures the reader will go searching for more of Anne Patrick’s books. For those who enjoy sweet, inspirational romance, this is a book for you. For those who enjoy romantic suspense, you will not be disappointed. And for those who enjoy TOT (Triumph over Tragedy) stories, this is a book that has it all. Check out the entire review here!
And don’t forget, Destiny Booze is visiting on Monday and will give away a copy of her book, Predetermined Endings.
Also, I've lined up an interview with New York Times bestselling author, Erica Spindler for Thursday. Erica has written 28 novels, including Last Known Victim, Copycat, Killer Takes All, See Jane Die, Dead Run, Bone Cold, and Break Neck. She’ll be talking about her new thriller, Blood Vines.
How awesome is that? And don't forget, all comments are automatically entered in my Grand Prize Drawing at the end of the month.
Have a wonderful weekend & Happy Reading!!!

LASR Gives Journey to Redemption a 4.5 Rating!
Ivy at Long & Short Reviews gave Journey to Redemption a wonderful review. Here are a couple of snippets:
"Journey to Redemption is police drama that builds suspense while carrying a blossoming romance, all at a fast clip. The police work is believable and interesting. Morgan’s terror at her son’s disappearance and her efforts to rescue him are riveting. I found her steps to keep her relatives ignorant of the drama almost touching. She is definitely a lone desperado.
Journey to Redemption builds great suspense and has a creative twist to tie the loose-ends together. Ms. Patrick has developed a wonderful back story for this novel and it carries the plot along nicely. Her characters have the potential to carry another novel; her confident writing in this genre will make you want to pick up another one of her books. I plan to."

Journey to Redemption has also been nominated as book of the week there. I'd really appreciate your support! Voting is Saturday 30th - Sunday 31st. http://www.longandshortreviews.com/LASR/recentrev.htm
Thanks so much!

An awesome review and look who's coming Monday
If you haven’t heard me shoutin’ it from the roof tops yet, you must be indoors where it’s nice and warm. Val, over at You Gotta Read Reviews, gave Kinzie’s (my alter ego) upcoming inspirational romance, Reservations for Two, a ‘You Gotta Read’ rating. Once I scraped myself up off the floor I had to come and share the news with you. Just click here if you want to check it out. But please finish reading the post first :-)
Before my head gets any bigger, I’m going to move on. I’m really excited about Monday’s interview. Author Jane Toombs is going to be here sharing her journey to publication. I’m sure most of you know who Jane is, but in case you don’t, Jane is the author of over eighty published books, both in paper and electronic. These include the various romance genres--gothic, suspense, contemporary, historical, Regency and paranormal--as well as other genres such as mystery, fantasy and horror. She’s going to tell us the difference between being published with the big guys in NY and the smaller independent publishers. She’ll also be sharing news about her new releases. So be sure to join us. You won’t want to miss it!
Now how many of you have thought about making a trailer to promote your books and thought the process was too complicated? Well I’ve recently attempted this feat but I have to tell you my product didn’t turn out nearly as well as Cathy’s did, over at Word Vessel. If you haven’t checked out her blog I encourage you to do so. It’s informative and Inspirational. For instance this week she’s breaking down the process she went through to create her fabulous book trailer, and how to format your manuscript for Smashwords in case you’re considering self-publication. Check it out, you won’t be sorry!
Also, Diane Craver’s having a great contest over at her blog, so be sure to drop by her place too.
Well I’ve rambled on long enough. I better get to work. Have an awesome weekend everyone!

Journey to Redemption receives a 4.5 rating from Book Wenches
Reviewed by: Teagan S. Boyd
I was riveted by this physiological thriller from the moment I opened the book. I am hard-pressed to come up with a specific genre to put it in since it combines so many: from the mystery of a whodunit to the growing feelings between Morgan and Chase; there are so many other elements in between.
Morgan's strength is evident throughout the book, and I found myself drawn to her inner workings, and also I found myself relating to her as a mother. Morgan's depth of pain that she has experienced molds her life, and though I have never experienced the trauma she did in the book, the author does a wonderful job of evoking deep-felt feelings in the reader right along with the character. Chase on the other hand is a man of all seasons. I felt as if he could easily be the well-rounded man most women dream of finding, yet at moments we get a few glimpses of previous parts of his life that have left him bitter.
The entire book kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what might happen. The story was fresh and memorable. Ms. Patrick is truly a talented storyteller. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good crime mystery.
